let's create! festive confetti strands!

pretty papers in your choice of colors/patterns {i picked all my paper up from paper source}
+ round objects in varied sizes for tracing {i used tape rolls & jar lids}
+ pen or pencil + scissors + string
+ glue & a paint brush {not pictured}

1. trace the circular objects onto the backside of the papers - i was not too calculated about this,
i just traced away to take up the space of the paper.
i also cut the papers into thinner strips to make it easier to cut the circles out.

2. cut out all of the circles - i suggest putting a good movie on in the background,
as this part takes some time.
and expect a sore wrist!

3. match up all of the same sizes of circles
(i mismatched all of mine so that the pattern was different on each side)
then, line up the circles into rows - i randomized each line of circles so that each row was different.
if you prefer, you can keep each row even

4. remove the top circle and line the string down a row of circles.
brush glue onto each circle back & string, place the top circle and press down to secure.
repeat with all circles & rows.

5. give it time to dry

6. now it's time to decorate! these festive strands could have many uses.
it makes for perfect garland to add some pop to the party
& would also add a lot of fun, wrapped around a gift box!
since i was missing my christmas decorations, but still felt the need for
some festive decor, i hung the strands across my window.

well, loves, it is friday!!!
i am feeling much, much better today...
a stomach bug knocked me on my butt the last couple of days,
but i seem to have beat it!
what are you up to this weekend?
i will be taking it easy...not too many plans
i am feeling inspired to take on another project,
in hopes to share another diy with you next week :)

cheers to the weekend!
