snowy days = cabin fever = creative inspirations

hello, loves!
happy monday :)
how was your weekend?
the snow here in seattle finally melted away,
which was a bittersweet feeling...
we don't get to see snow usually more than once a year,
so i really love it when it is here :)
but, it is nice being able to get around now!
i thought that i would catch you all up
on some of my snow week & the weekend happenings...

you also might notice, that my header/logo changed...
i have been wanting to create something more personal & authentic for some time now...
once i started playing with the watercolors, ideas were going crazy in my head!
so i painted out chartreuse & a...about 20 times and finally got the font perfect for my vision...
i then skinned a {real} lemon to make my "twist"...photographed, uploaded, photoshopped a bit & tada!
an officially official chartreuse & a twist header/logo was born!

a few other things i managed to squeeze into the weekend...
* finally watched midnight in paris...can't believe it took me this long...i am completely in love with it!
* also, randomly caught brigitte bardot film on hulu called plucking the daisy {1956}...
i found it very entertaining...& it was so risque compared to american films at that time
{gotta love the french!}
* i attempted fleur de sel caramels...although they were still good
{hello...heavy cream, sugar & butter...it's pretty hard for that combo not to be good!}
the consistency was all wrong & there were bits of burnt cream & sugar...oops!
i'll attempt them again ;)

p.s. i am kicking off a brand new color series tomorrow & i am pretty excited about it! so stay tuned!!!

i would love to hear what you were up to over the weekend!
XO

LOVE the new logo! Sounds like a great weekend. So jealous of the snow, we haven't gotten any this year.

My favorite thing to do is watch videos of the people trying to drive on Capitol Hill in the snow - fail! Also, it looks like its official. I'm moving to Seattle in the summer. We will have to meet up!
